| | -Drilling confirms status of Loveland Gold Project as leading exploration play -Drilling focused on new gold zone and historic copper-nickel resources
Recent exploration and drilling results at the wholly owned Loveland Property have confirmed its status as the leading exploration project for Amador Gold. The project has many advantages including an excellent location just 35 km northwest of Timmins, Ontario, two underexplored nickel-copper zones with historic resources, and a new gold discovery, both at depth and in surface grab-samples.
Drilling has extended the depth and strike of the historic Cominco Zone mineralization as well as added a new dimension to the project with the intersection of significant gold mineralization (including 10.39 g/t gold over 3.1 m.) This occurrence of gold, combined with newly discovered surface gold showings (up to 11.48 g/t gold), adds considerably to the exploration potential of the area. Further drilling is required to determine the relationship of the surface find to drill-intersected gold mineralization.
Amador has numerous other holdings in Ontario, including the Kell Silver Project, 18 km southeast of Gowganda. The Kell has similar silver-cobaltmineralization to mines in the historic Gowganda region, where approximately 60 million ounces of silver were mined in the early 1900s. Last year's drilling returned grades as high as 2,401 g/t gold over 1.73 m and 262 g/t gold over 8.63 m. Other Ontario projects with good exploration potential include the Horwood gold property, the Fripp nickel property and the Dale gold property.
