HAPPY CREEK MINERALS LTD (HPY : TSX.V)

Happy Creek Minerals Ltd. is a company engaged in the location and development of diverse metal and mineral properties in British Columbia, Canada. The company’s strategy involves 100 percent ownership of properties that are close to existing and past-producing mines, where current infrastructure allows for lower-cost exploration, development and operation. The Company is a generative one, whereby positive early stage exploration results lead to drilling and potentially outlining mineral deposits of economic value to shareholders. In the past two years, the Company has returned positive drilling results of copper-molybdenum near the Highland Valley Copper mine of Teck Cominco, and tungsten-molybdenum near the former Boss Mountain molybdenum mine. The Company has also developed new targets of copper, molybdenum, gold and silver, and ready to drill.

Happy Creek’s 100 percent owned Rateria and West Valley copper properties total approximately 140 square kilometres in area, and are located 10 kilometres south of Teck Cominco’s Highland Valley copper concentrator, in south central British Columbia. On the Rateria property, Happy Creek has returned positive preliminary drilling results including 177 metres grading 0.366% copper, including 27.0 metres of 1.05% copper, 5.0 g/t silver and 0.24 g/t gold. Results are consistent with other Highland Valley deposits and remain undefined and open in extent.

The company also owns a 100 percent interest in five projects located northeast of 100 Mile House, in south central British Columbia. The Silverboss property holds excellent potential for molybdenum deposits that adjoin the former Boss Mountain molybdenum mine (Xstrata PLC), Canada’s first and one of the largest primary producers. The Fox tungsten-molybdenum property is located 25 kilometres to the east, and the first-ever drilling in 2007 has intersected significant tungsten and molybdenum values over a large area.
