| | Timmins Gold Corp is committed to becoming a senior gold production and development company focused solely in Mexico. Timmins Gold has formulated an aggressive development and acquisition plan which is designed to take the Company into production in 2009. A pre-feasibility report completed on its “flagship” San Francisco property in Sonora Mexico confirms the “economic viability of the mine” at which Timmins will be producing gold at a an annual rate of 80,000 ounces of gold per year.
To this end a gold plant with the capacity of 100,000 ounces per year is on site and has been refurbished along with the primary crusher. The new secondary and tertiary crushers are being installed and the heap leach pads being constructed. With the entire permitting now complete Timmins is closely nearing production this year.
On the exploration front, Timmins portfolio consists of 6 additional gold properties within 4 prolific mining districts in Mexico, one of which is the new TIM claims, a 40,000 hectare property located contiguous to Goldcorp’s 13,000,000 Penasquito Gold Mine.
The Company’s goal is to utilize future cash flow to expand the resource and lifespan of the San Francisco mine, advance its exploration projects and make further acquisitions.
